Vía Crucis

Via Crucis is the name given to moments of meditation and suffering experienced by Jesus since he was imprisoned until his death on the cross and subsequent resurrection. Literally, Via Crucis means "way of the cross". This path is represented by 15 images of the Passion which are called "stations".

This Catholic custom is based on making a group pilgrimage that can take place inside the church or in the streets, stopping at each station and making a prayer in each, a reading of a Gospel passage and maybe a song.

As in the rest of the world, each year in the province of Jujuy, Argentina thousands of pilgrims up the Cerro de la Cruz, stopping at each of the stations, to accompany with your prayers devotion to Jesus.
